Some of the people within TNA who were hoping to get some plum appointments have been using all manner of ruses and ways to catch the attention the big man himself. There are those within the TNA camp who are pointing saying the hope that he will get appointed is what is driving one of them to write prolific articles and commentaries. For many of them, just the mere fact that they are with the winning team should be enough guarantee that they are worthy of any join without going through the pesky task of vetting!

Some senior civil servants who had carted away some office furniture and other equipment from the offices of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and ex Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka have been quietly returning them. Corridors has it that most of the officers were in a panic after the Head of Public Service Francis Kimemia ordered for a thorough audit at the two offices. Afraid of being caught and embarrassed, some of the officials have opted to return what they had “pinched” with some opting do so in the wee hours of the night.

Corridors has it that members of the National Police Service Commission are planning to tour South Africa ostensibly to learn how police operations are carried out. The tour comes barely two months after the team jetted into the country from a three week in Europe and Botswana. Some members of the commission are however complaining that the team is spending too much time out of the country and that the resources for some of the foreign trips should instead be channeled to boost operations of the police service locally.

Aides of the COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli were yesterday temporarily blocked from entering one of the meeting rooms at the Stanley hotel by the hotel staff after they refused to identify themselves at the reception. After a stand-off lasting several minutes, one of the aides called their boss who came out, apologized to the hotel security staff for the kerfuffle and introduced the aides whom he requested to be allowed in.
