KENYA'S ICC CASES WON'T END JUST THAT WAY AND THIS IS WHY-MUTUA

Letter from NEWYORK BY. Makau Mutua

1. KENYA'S ICC CASES WON'T END JUST THAT WAY AND THIS IS WHY.

The security council can only defer a trial for a few yrs but not terminate it. Such deferals can be renewed.
2. The UN can not just succumb to naked blackmails from people like the AG Githu Muigai who have run short of tricks and have now advised Mr Kenyatta to resort to political "tactics of fear"
3. The request made by Kenya envoys are made by Mr Kenyatta. The Kenya UN envoy represents the head of state.
4. Mr Kenyatta has convoluted to work with the ICC but to some extend he wants to pit democracy against justice.
5. The UN new that Mr Kenyatta was determined to win elections to save himself from the ICC, but ICC prosecutor won't let it go and she has droughted additional charges against him.
6. The ICC have rejected Mr Kenyattas key arguments, he has lost vertually every major objection he has raised in court, because the evidence against him which judges have seen is solid and they can't just believe his claims the evidence was fabricated.

Mr Kenyattas camp was ecstatic when British PM David Cameron invited him to london. But they were apparently infuriated that the PM Cameron wouldn't give him a photo op. Such snubs can only increase if he shuns the ICC.
