A senior Jubilee politician who lost in the last election got a shock on Thursday as he went to receive President Uhuru Kenyatta. The presidential security made sure the man was at bay from Uhuru until the last minute when he was noticed as the President was walking towards the runway to board a helicopter to State House. Uhuru raised his hands and told the aspirant, "Bwana Governor, I will call you, I will call you, God Bless You," leaving the man crestfallen.

The head of a parastatal under the Information and Communication ministry whose term has come to an end has been pushing for the renewal of his tenure. However, his fate hangs in the balance as he is among several people being investigated by the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission. The man, who has been soliciting support from the board members, has succeeded in convincing a number of them to renew his appointment. However, many of the board members are unwilling to support him until the anti-graft agency concludes its work.

An MP from Nyanza province is battling with a Nairobi businessman over the ownership of a car. The businessman, who deals with car hires, has written to the clerk of the National assembly demanding that the clerk summon the MP and have him refund Sh300,000.

A senior strategist in the Jubilee coalition was on Wednesday evening shocked when bodyguards of some MPs blocked him from greeting and joining them at their table. The politician cum strategist has been accused of being among those behind the leadership woes that have hit TNA. The MPS were overheard saying that they should be "careful of of his company" for it can be construed that they are part of the scheme.
