Raila heads to Australia for forum

Tuesday, July 9, 2013 - 00:00 -- BY STAR CORRESPONDENT
FORMER Prime Minister Raila Odinga yesterday left for a week’s visit to Australia to attend a conference organised by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute.
The conference, under the auspices of Australia Africa Dialogue, draws participants from a number of African countries from the public and private sectors to discuss growth, jobs, security, governance, aid and investment.
When he paid a courtesy call to Australia’s High Commissioner Geoff Tooth yesterday, Raila said he is keen on the exploitation of Kenya’s strategic mineral resources by multinational companies “that have left little behind after several decades.”
